I purchased the 1100d before Christmas and can confirm that the book "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson is worth getting as its really well written for those starting photography (Like myself).
Its only about £10 at Amazon.
Taken loads of pictures but most are rubbish!, however took this picture back in November on Remembrance Day, heading back to the car and turned round to see the sun setting behind the church. There's something about it that I like.
Probably needs cropping etc but as new to all of this haven't...
I'm looking at getting another lens but as money is tight I only have just over £100 to spend.
The lenses I've got my eye on are
Tamron 75-300 Macro Lens NON IS
Canon 55-250 IS lens
I can't decide which one would be better to have either a lens with a macro facility or Image...

Just purchased my first DSLR today which was the 1100d, using a variety of voucher codes and cashback managed to get it for £254 from PC World so I'm more than happy!
Looking forward to being able to contribute to this forum however don't expect much in the way of decent photos...
