    Some really good suggestions there guys, I'm hoping to get some long exposures of the Eiffel tower (and the images are for my own use ) I am however a little nervous about walking around Paris with my camera and tripod, any tips regarding this issue? Cheers John

    K10D is indeed a great camera, however the Samsung GX10 is an exact copy and cheaper too.

    I have a Lowepro neckstrap, its great as it has quick release fastening and spreads the weight nicely. it also has a handy card pocket on the strap.

    Tripod- Buy it or bin it??

    looks nice and compact for the height, but don't think it will be sturdy enough with my dslr and lens. Can anyone suggest an alternative ( compact, light and sturdy) John
