Thanks for the advice folks.
Just won a Nikon 18-70mm on the bay
Makes sense as I now have 18-300mm covered, don't think I'm experianced enough yet to gain from F2.8 lenses, so passed on the Sigma.

Hi,
I've just brought a D80 and now need to look for a general walkabout lens for £200 or less.
I'm trying to decide between the ones listed below (all currently available second hand in my price range)
NIKON AF-S 18-70mm F3.5-4.5 G ED
Nikon 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 G AF-S DX IF-ED
Nikon...
Try a VW Passat, I have a 170bhp Sport estate with DSG and really like it :)
It's a quick, comfortable, capable car with plenty of room and decent MPG.

Just heard on the radio that the goverment are considering leaving all the schools closed until xmas to reduce the spread of swine flu over autumn, that will leave alot of parents in the mire :(

Just to give you an idea, I took this picture using my D40x with a Nikkor 70mm - 300mm VR at Donington last year, the image isn't cropped it's straight from the camera.

Saw this on the news last night, oh well looks like I'll have to get on the bike and go to the 2010 MotoGP round in Assen then :D
Don't like Silverstone circuit much watched a WSBK round there a couple of years ago and didn't see much, great bike dealer on the edge of the circuit though :lol...
I've orderd a Redsnapper TRI-283 Tripod and RS-528 3-Way Head Kit from Joe today after reading all the positive comments on here and it was under £65 as part of the special offer.
Joe seems a top bloke, really looking forward to getting my first decent tripod :)

Agree with above, although Baxi do some decent boilers too and also have good backup service. Most plumbers will tell you the average life of a Combi Boiler is 10 years, guess who's boiler is 10 years old this year :(

I've had my D40X for a while now and have really enjoyed getting used to taking proper photos and it's a great little camera, however I'm now thinking of taking a step up and am not sure if I should go second hand D200 or save a little more and buy a D90
Suppose my main concern with...
Bit of an open ended question as it depends if you want indoor or outdoor, if outdoor electric or fuel? etc
One of the most stable indoor heli's is the Blade CX2.
Hobbystores sell quite a few Heli's
