As promised (and over a year later) and I'm going to post those astro pics with a Fujifilm IS PRO infrared camera.
Gamma Cygni Region, 300 seconds, single shot, Nikon 80-200 ED lens.
Barnard Loop in Orion 300 seconds Sigma 10-20mm lens
Some Milky Way shots
I will be posting some IS PRO astronomy pics soon- just waiting for the skies to clear.....
In case any one missed the first thread theses camaras are selling real cheap here:

and here...
Problem is that M42 lenses are now going for silly money on e-bay often far above there true value! A few years ago you couldn't give them away- now everybody wants them- supply & demand I guess. No good for my cameras as even with the correct adaptor they won't focus to infinity.
My sons birthday is coming up and he wants a camera that will take both HD video and resonable pictures. Clearly no one product will do both things really well but a combined package would be nice.
My research is tending me towards a Fujifilm HS10...
Alternatively- use flash but avoid shooting straight on as it will bounce straight back into the camera! All my aquaria shots here used flash....

We lay on the grass for an hour or so last night watching with the kids and saw about 5 really bright meteors (no camera set up though as there is too much Light Pollution in my back garden). Even so they were quite impressive enough to 'wow' the kids.
A good shot here from UK astronmer Pete...
