Cheers for that :)
I guess the main point I'm stuck on is do I work out the hyperfocal distance as if I were using a full frame camera because the lens is designed for a cropped sensor?
Confusing I know! Haha
Hi all.
I've got a 550D and I've recently purchased a Sigma 10-20mm 3.5 EX lens.
I'm having difficulty working out what to do to achieve hyperfocal distance with this lens.
Can anybody help me out?
I know my 550D has a crop factor of 1.6
And I believe that my Sigma lens is designed to be used...
This is the only thing that's putting me off. Because that's the only wide-angle lens I've got.
Might save my pennies until I get a better wider lens (10-20mm)
Cheers for all the help though guys.
Might get some ND's instead
I've done the test on my camera with a ir remote and I know my camera can "see" ir. Don't know how sensitive it is though.
I've also been reading about the Canon 18-55mm kit lens having quite a strong hot spot right in the centre when using a Hoya filter
Hi all.
I'm thinking of having a go at infrared photography with my 550D.
I've been looking round the Internet for a 58mm round filter and it's a absolute mine field.
Can any of you fine people point me in the right direction/give me some tips? :)
It would be much appreciated
Cheers
Ian
I've use Cokin filters myself in the past on both 35mm and digital. I never had a problem with them. But I'm getting slightly worried now because I was going to buy a ND set for my new 550D to step up my land and seascapes.
Has anybody used Cokin ND's with a 550D before?
I've got the Canon 100 IS, and I have to say it really is fantastic.
I decided to pay the bit extra because I shoot pretty much all off my macro stuff handheld.
I'd say, if you can afford it treat yourself =op
