Can transfer images but can't be used 'live'. I borrowed one to try it and it does work but it's very slow.
Nice shot, I would try and increase your shutter speed to compensate for any spur of the moment shake. 1/400 is probably the minimum (shutter speed on long lens should be at least equivalent to your focal length) you'll get away with in this situation.
Getting comfortable is the biggest challenge, sitting for maybe two hours straight on a small chair or stool is no mean feat. As well as that surely your head will be sticking up at the back as a sort of third support for the cloth? Any movement of your head will probably alert the wildlife.
It was interesting to process and print colour but I don't miss it one bit now! Anyone remember printing Cibachromes from slide aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't forget as well that at 75mm your camera (not full frame camera) adds a magnification factor of 1.5 so your lens is actually shooting at approx 110mm, hence the reduced dof.
Forecast for tomorrow is terrible!

Hopefully safety will continue to be the highest priority for the riders and organisers. Rain makes for better pictures but raises the danger.
Sounds like a plan. Dependant upon what you buy in the first place and how many frames you shoot, you could probably do it for free effectively. You might even make a profit if you grab a bargain! D90s keep their value extremely well.
I got a job in local hospital, working in medical records. One of my first pay packets I bought my first film SLR. Trainee medical photographer was advertised, I applied and have doing this type of thing for 33 years now!
Its still as much a hobby as an income.
Shooting RAW will not compensate for incorrect exposure! All that happens in raw format is that the image is native to what was captured by the camera. Normally with jpegs the camera will apply an algorithm designed to give the best balance between image size, quality etc. Using RAW and over or...
Can add to the effect, a flash on low or fractional output would partially freeze the image and give a great effect. A variety of shooting methods is the way to go. Experiment, it's not like when I first began photography and film and printing costs were high, digital has revolutionised the...
Don't forget the wide angle zoom (10-22) will not be as critical in terms of shutter speed, with care you can take shots at 1/60 of a second or even 1/30 if you practice a lot. Additionally using the continuous shooting mode of your camera to take say 5 shots in a row will probably give one...
