Good link to the heritage open days I had forgot about those I will have to see what's in my area.

I managed to get a used Canon 450D with kit lens for £210 a few months back and that is a good enough starter camera.

Try av forums they have a classified section and have a sub forum for cameras, I got my 450d from there a few months ago.They don't have minimum post count/time constraints so you can go there today.

I bet the folks doing the recycling keep the best stuff back for themselves.

Only got my first DSLR about 6 months ago, a used 450d I might upgrade next year.

First SLR was a film Canon EOS 650 back in 1980's my first Digital SLR a Canon 450D. I still have the 650 and it still looks as good as new.

I popped into a jessops in Merry Hill a few months ago to look at bags, they had nothing that interested me.I was the only customer in there and the sales guy was not really interested in helping me find what I wanted.

I have fits and starts with photography so a few weeks would probably not hurt although as with most things you own you don't miss them till they are gone.

I must say that for me the single biggest gain with digital over film has been the ability to instantly review what you have shot effectively for free and therefore be able to take far more pictures than on film and experiment with different techniques which would have been cost prohibitive and...

I think you were being optimistic to get that lot in with your grip too, you need the next one up.:)

I have a 7500 crumpler and can get my 450d with 15-55 kit lens + 100-300 & 35-105 zooms, charger hood 2-3 filters cables spare battery and still room left over for a couple of small lenses or a flash. It's a nice bag too only had it a couple of weeks, even full it is still reasonably light on...

Hi Dave it was sunny this morning mate but gone distinctly cloudy now, still the Denmark/Portugal game is coming on soon so I will be watching that.:) Worcestershire is a lovely county.:thumbs:
