Well, it got taken to pieces to discover that someone had already had a go at fixing it at some point. I have the same Stephen, and both meters appear to be working; in manual mode the needle moves when I change the shutter speed but when I fire it it uses a different shutter speed to that selected.

Thanks Peter, I had a read through that earlier to see if there was anything in the common problems section, but no luck. I use an OM10 and with that I can go through all the shutter speeds with the back open, I'd have thought the same would be possible with this..
