Sound advice, thankyou. Again I appreciate your advice and that link which was useful . I'm guessing selective colouring is where one colour in a photograph is present but the rest is black and white...?

Couldn't agree more on those things, I always think about how i could have been out taking pictures when I've just come off my xbox or finished watching some useless programme.....

No I agree that this seems like a good way of going about it and it's good to hear that it's working out for you! Thanks for the advice! Thanks, I appreciate it! Also feel free to criticize.

    I'm 17 and

Thankyou, yes this was a great help I appreciate it :), excuse my ignorance but I'm not sure what you mean by 'selective colouring'? As for an area or style, In all honesty I don't know precisely, but it will definitely not be portrait or .... I don't know the correct term... like photography...

    I'm 17 and

really interested in doing something to do with photography for a living, as a job. I have a genuine interest in it at the moment, and can't see it dying like other perhaps, childish interests. I'm a very .... how shall I say..... philosophical sort of person and have what I'd like to think is a...

My attempt At brian petersons strawberry falling into water

What settings are used to get a shot like this? I'm trying my best to learn about photography all the time, so would be interesting for me to find out how shots like this are done. If I was to guess i would say with some fancy macro lens, but what about like shutter speed and f stop ? Any...

Thanks I appreciate that, the sandpapershot was random but I like it, I will probably look into putting a flickr link in my sig.

    My stuff.

I completely agree about the comment you made on the fence, thing is I'm using a fujifilm camera that was first released in 2003 and it actually can't focus on stuff that close even in macro mode. I would have done it like you suggested if possible.

    My stuff.

Yeah thanks mate, appreciate that. I know what you mean, I have friends who think my stuff is cool, but others who I wouldn't show my stuff to because they would question 'why do you just take photos of stuff' but I enjoy it so I'll keep doing it. Thanks again.

    Shots of the sky.

    Shots of the sky.

I know the sky is a fairly 'seen that before' area of photography, however I'm just getting started, and would appreciate some feedback on a couple of shots I took of the sky, around the are where I live. I'm 16 and just beginning to take an interest in photography...

    My stuff.

Oh also does anyone know how to rearrange the order of your photographs on flickr? The first one in my set has the most view but I don't think it's the best so I want to change it. Cheers.

    My stuff.

Thanks guys I appreciate the encouragement, I'll continue to take photos and hope that I can become better at it. As someone said it will probably result in me buying camera after camera and multiple tripods. Thanks again.

    My stuff.

Newcomer Hey my name is Jordan I'm new to photography, and I've always enjoyed taking photos. I think the appeal for me to some extent is that through photographs you can make something, that the average Joe wouldn't look twice at, and make it look intersting. I'm 16 and been taking photos...
