I think I've found a destination for a few days holiday in June now! Been thinking about going to Skomer for some time but I think you guys have just made my mind up!

I will be sending him a card this weekend and hope that, if everyone else does that has promised to too, it will help brighten his day (and also give a tiny bit of support to his poor parents who must be emotionally wrecked too right now).

Far more importantly though Bob - it is Southend or Sheffield Utd you support :) I support Brighton and what with watching them and a full time job too, I don't get as much time as I'd like for my photography though I guess I don't do too bad. I hope you enjoy it here. I've not been here...

I too feel quite awkward assembling my tripod in busy, public places but the best thing I have noticed, and to some extent when I'm just holding my dslr, is that people think you're a pro and will keep out of the way of my shots and not walk straight in front of you, so that's very useful.
