Thanks for the advice, will put my money towards a wide angle - might see if I can find a 2nd hand set on ebay to play with.

I'm shopping around for a wide angle lens and stumbled across a 2x telephoto lens and a 0.5x wide angle lens that is pretty cheap. I feel a bit like its a purchase I'm going to be delighted with or really regret. Am I right in thinking that this is too good to be true? What's the downside...

Just joined and am new to photography, I've a 2nd hand E500. I'm really liking it and could do with some advice on flash guns if anyone has a minute and some recent experience.

Thanks for feedback - cheap and simple sounds the ticket. I thought I'd need something specific so it could be triggered from the camera. How would I trigger it off camera with the Olympus E500?

Apologies for the absolute beginner question. I've just picked up my first DSLR, an Olympus E500 and want to get a flash gun that I can use off the camera. I don't want to spend a fortune - what would you suggest? Thanks Jon
