The clone tool works well you need to work close and small, its a bit laborious but well worth the effort, not too keen on content aware, it does a job but for better results try persevering with the clone tool.

Try setting the clone tool opacity somewhere between 20 & 30% then sample the darker water and clone over the sharp light edge use a brushing motion rather than stamping if that makes sense and it should blend quite nicely.

Yes you can, but only to adjust tonal range I used photoshop curves to adjust the green colour cast, Lightroom probably has more options to adjust colour or white balance.
