I am going to a 'surprise party' on Saturday and am wondering which camera to take...i have a canon G9 and 400D....ALSO should i chicken out and put it to auto or risk fiddling about with settings?...(is it coming over how confident a photographer i am)!...........your expert help would be both...

soon after buy my G9...i bought a film for the LCD which has proved to be totally useless...it is peeling away and is generally a mess...any advise for replacing would be helpful....thanks...jackie
