SB-900 & SB-800 Flash or Hot Shoe Issue

Well... I tried a lot of things, but it in the end it was a pair of bullnose pliers that fixed it! Turns out my hotshoe's had loosened up over the last couple of years and the SB900 & SB800's connectors where loosing touch with my D700's plate and shorting out a bit or something like that. A...

SB-900 & SB-800 Flash or Hot Shoe Issue

Hi Guys, I hope someone can shed some light on this problem for me... I currently use 2 Nikon D700 bodies with a SB-900 and a SB-800 as back-up. Some strange things have been going on lately and the problem is becoming more regular. Basically, I have them set-up using TTL but I am...

    Insurance & Costs?

I use Photoguard... Been just fine so far. The only bad thing I've heard is from another photographer that changed because they didn't insure equipment overnight in a car. Very rarely would I be in that situation.

    Camera Servicing

Yeah, that's what I've been thinking... It's funny that there is nothing official from Nikon on this (unless I'm missing something). The bodies are in great shape and still doing a great job. Maybe not as tack sharp as they (along with the lenses) where from day 1 though. Might just take...

    Camera Servicing

Hi Guys, Looks like a great forum! I just have a quick question about camera servicing... It isn't something I've had done before and I have two D700's, one with 50,000 and the other with 30,000 actuations. Do you guys get your bodies serviced at regular intervals? Do you reccomend it...
