I have the same camera as you, and I bought the Sigma 105. Its a great lens and I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I am heading to Borneo in April for 2 weeks - from what i have read, the canon hasn't been there yet and was wondering if it fancied a trip? :suspect: If not, i can borrow a mates F1.8 or another mates F1.4 so no big issues if someone else is using it then. :thumbs:

I have recently bought an RC5 remote from Millow (cheers Millow :thumbs:) on here and have been trying to use it with my 450D. Works perfectly on timed release - i.e 2 seconds from me pushing the button, but i can't seem to get it to work instantly from the button. Can anyone please offer any...

I have the sigma 105 which i bought as a compromise between the 70 and the 180. Still gettiing used to it at the moment, but liking what I have seen so far.

I need to make friends with my kits lens. I have spent the last 5 weeks wondering what the point of it is while i have been playing with my other lenses.

Thanks for all your advice everyone - I have purchased Gregs 70-300 and i'll see how i get on with it. If it doesnt suit my "lack of style" photography, then it will be back on here!!

I like the idea of all of one lens covering the whole range from 28-300 so i dont have to keep swapping lenses. Just not entirely sure on the quality? The 55-250 IS was also on my possibly list but read some pretty average review on this lens. Greg - I will look at your flickr page...
