Thanks Scottthehat they are sharp better than I imagined. I feel now if I have the 7000 I won't be 100% happy with it and wished I'd have gone for the 700. Looks like I will be going to Poundland this year for the wife's christmas present and may be next year. I'm sure she'll understand...

Hi, thanks for replying. Yes I do mean 28 -300mm Nikkor. Nice to hear you don't find it slow on autofocus, I didn't think it would bother me changing lenses on my camera but find it can be a bit of a pain changing from 18-105 to 55-200 and missed one or two shots doing so. 28-300 should solve...
