A question about health and safety

According to common law, a high visibility jacket must be worn at all times during development and if in an area larger than 13m² you must be coned off from others in the vicinity.

    Buying 120 Film

7dayshop doesn't charge for shipping at all so there's your best bet, or you could go into a local shop and pay (through the teeth, usually) for the convenience! I was also going to recommend Portra, but seeing as everyone else has then I'll throw a suggestion for Fuji 400H into the mix, haha.

    Bronica ETRS Speed Grip

I did get it sorted in the end, I took it to Clock Tower Cameras in Brighton who replaced the screws and recalibrated the grip tension (or so they said, anyway) for £2! But that's certainly good to know, and hopefully if anyone has the same problem and does a google they'll find this thread :D

Can we see more (film vs X) comparison shots?

Great idea for a thread. It's always interesting to see the results! I have one; a Canon 500D vs Pentax 6x7 MLU - I actually used the 500D as a light meter for the Pentax which is why I have the two similar shots! Apologies for the less than scientific framing, heh. 500D + 50mm 1.8 (f/4...

I'll show you mine if you show me yours !!! Pentax 67

Well if you see someone traipsing around Kenilworth in the next few months with a camera bigger than their head, come say hello cos it'll be me with that thing haha.

I'll show you mine if you show me yours !!! Pentax 67

As requested! An old, 'slightly' worn 6x7 MLU, with a metered prism that occasionally meters upside down, but more often than not doesn't work at all... Need to get it looked at. I must admit I don't usually sport the handle, I prefer a strap instead, but it definitely looks nicer with the...

    Fashion photographers - 35mm / MF

My friend Hayley is a fashion photographer and shoots mostly 6x7 & instant film (RZ67) :) http://www.hayleylouisabrown.co.uk/ I'd second (third?) the idea for a 645 camera, it'll give you those extra few shots for bracketing etc as well as letting you go longer without changing backs/rolls over...

I'll show you mine if you show me yours !!! Pentax 67

I have a 6x7 MLU :) I love it. I only have the 90mm 2.8 and will eventually get a 55, but for the moment I'm happy with just the one lens. I only tend to use lenses with a similar field of view as the 90 on my other cameras anyway so why not better the devil you know!

Where to send incorrectly exposed film for processing ?

A lot of people actually shoot their negative film at those kind of levels of 'overexposure' for various reasons :) the films will be absolutely fine and you'll not lose any noticeable amounts of highlight detail!

    Pull processing

That should be no problem at all steveo! HP5 has a huge latitude. I've exposed it at 100 before after forgetting to set my meter to 400 and didn't bother pulling the film when processing. It was a slight stretch but I not only got decent prints out of the negatives but decent scans too :) A 1...

WOohoo! Someone lent me a Mamuya 645...

^Have done, and is pretty much bang on well within the ranges that my film cameras that I use it with can handle :) definitely a good tip though.

    Diana Mini & digital

You can either scan them if you have a negative scanner, or, you can set up a... thing... to take photos of the negatives using your 7D like so: http://photo.tutsplus.com/tutorials/shooting/scanning-negatives-with-your-digital-camera/ And yes they do :) just ask for develop only.

WOohoo! Someone lent me a Mamuya 645...

@Chris: 7 day shop :) I just ordered a box of 5 x 120 Portra 160 and it got to Kenilworth in 3 days with the free postage! And it worked out about £3 a roll. Paul, as has been mentioned with metering: Err on the side of caution (slight underexposure) with slide film when the Canon says a 1/3...
