I 100% agree with you on most of that. But you can't always take a good photo with any camera yes a good photographer to make the most of what he has and get great results. But you wouldn't take a iPhone to a low light gig would you. You would take a dslr due to low light performance. Also same...

Of course it would cope with it. one of my friends put a 300 f4 on his backup 20d and still took better photos than any modern camera with cheap glass. To put it bluntly glass is more important than body. Thanks Rob

yeah he does seem a bit grumpy in that photo, but yeah good choice on the 24-70. the 24-105 does me fine for now. but if and when i upgrade. the 24-70 will be on the top of my list

:lol: yes the RSH-12 head i use is rated for 10kg and the redsnapper legs are rated for 8kg. i have no combo that exceeds that weight. but i prefer to be safe than sorry. quick release are the work of the devil :lol: Thanks Rob

yes indeed i have one of those heads came with the tripod i also got the RSH-12 Ball Head. the only head i trust my £1100 camera plus lens on is the ball head. the only use that the cheap one has is putting my 430ex off cam on
