    Street Photography - which lens?

Nobody said that but holding the camera to your side pretending nothing happens sounds like you are doing something you shouldn't be doing. William Klein once said "I just don't make a fuss about it and nobody else seems to do so". The more natural you act the less weirdo you look/feel like...

    Street Photography - which lens?

That defeats the purpose of taking a picture. No sense of composition and structure if you are not even looking at your subject through a viewfinder

    Street Photography - which lens?

DON'T shoot from the hip. it makes you look weird. shoot properly and if people look at you just smile. I always found 35mm to be a brilliant focal length for street photos. (the tube is another story: 15mm is almost wide enough)

Google has crossed the red line. Nexus 5 ad

There's no right or wrong in social sciences. Just different approaches that engage in endless arguments. And no you don't want to start arguing with one of them ;)

Google has crossed the red line. Nexus 5 ad

Naaaah marketing psychologists will tell you that one coherent theme (in this case they picked weddings) makes it easier for people to connect to than trying to capture all potential situations you would take a photo in reality ;)

Google has crossed the red line. Nexus 5 ad

It's marketing. personal moments are something people relate to. in this case being married (or desire to ;) )

    wow factor

Have you actually thought about what creates that wow factor? colour? composition? 1. find that 2. then read about it 3. then shoot 4. then assess your photos based on what you read 5. throw those away 6. re-shoot (repeat until you don't like your photos at all) Then someone will tell you how...

    BEST budget dlsr

I was in the same situation as you. Got a Sony a200 as it was the only camera under £200 second hand that had 10mp at that time. there's absolutely no reason to think you'll have a hard time finding lenses. there may be fewer second hand around but there's less audience as well so that kind of...
