The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

I have bags for all occasions... I use a Crumpler Doozie Shoulder Camera Pouch (s) which holds the X-T1, 18-55mm, 35mm 1.4 and 60mm, spare batteries/cards and then fits inside any of my rather-too-numerous non-camera sling bags. That way I can decide how much extra stuff I need to carry apart...

Beginner Advice needed on what path to follow .. :S

As someone who did a Media Studies degree and worked in TV production, I'll tell you that the only students who ended up working in media were the ones who did a significant amount of work in the industry alongside their degree. They were part-time runners, researchers, columnists, editors and...

Yay! Good news! Glad it worked for you. (y)

Beginner Did I miss something (preparing to shoot)?

Landscape photographers did perfectly well without Photoshop for about 170 years and continue to do so now. They shoot in 'good light' ie. light which doesn't create huge extremes between highlights and shadows, often in the hour or so around sunrise/sunset or on overcast days. Or they used...

Beginner Lightroom CC - Lightroom Mobile

The photos you want to sync need to be in a Collection. Create a new collection and select 'Sync with Lightroom Mobile' in the Create Collection dialog. Anything you put in there should sync.

    Lightroom De-haze

For those considering the CC plan, I used this offer and I think it's still valid. Brings the UK pricing down to £6.85 a month. http://prodesigntools.com/exclusive-photoshop-lightroom-discount.html I'm not affiliated in any way, just hope it's useful for someone else.

Recommended Bags for Mirrorless? 1 for round town, 1 for days out walking?

Alternatively, maybe a pouch which fits inside an existing bag? I use a Crumpler Doozie Shoulder Camera Pouch inside my normal day bag. Shown in the pouch is a Fuji X-T1, 35mm f/1.4 underneath the 18-55mm (with a padded divider in between), Cokin filters and holder plus Expodisc. The top has...

    Manfrotto Lumie or similar

@sunnyside_up Thanks — great shots. I'm thinking about picking up a Muse and an Art to have a play with. Do you use the filters at all? and thanks @juggler for pointing me in the right direction!

    Manfrotto Lumie or similar

Does anyone have experience with the Manfrotto Lumie series? I can't find a lot of user feedback on the web which to me means either A: everyone who's bought them is busy happily shooting with them or B: nobody's bought them. ;) I'm looking at them as a possible lighting solution for tabletop...

The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Amazon are sending a replacement. It's just not a 'clean' sound like I would expect. Just for reference, I grabbed an audio recording and took a screenshot of the waveform of one shutter release, highlighting the bit I think isn't right. It's really hard to tell whether it's an issue or not...

It's not just on startup, it's when the shutter releases as well. I have taken the lens off and the noise still happens.

All the sounds are switched off (I hate artificial shutter sounds!) so it's nothing to do with that. Thanks for looking though.

Thanks for looking. No, I hear the OIS and sensor cleaning happening separately and it happens even with OIS and sensor cleaning off.

I also got my X-T1 today but it has a weird creaking noise after the shutter release. It's not just a sound — I feel the creak as well. I presume this is a fault but before I send it back, can someone tell me if this is normal or if anyone else has had this problem. I've posted a video on...

Wedding Togs and Back Button Focus

Yesterday was my first wedding using BBF* - so useful and I don't know why I didn't try it sooner. Exposure was mostly done using Expodisc so uncoupling the metering and focus wasn't so much the issue - it's just so much easier to have the ability to change from single to continuous focus...
