I have a couple of reasonable shots from a recent safari which I'd like to have printed in large format. They are RAW files of wildlife and I'm thinking A1 or even A0 in B&W could be good. Can anyone recommend someone who could do this in the UK or Europe? Many thanks

Many thanks for the replies. I have a 7D and also the 15-85 which I also think is great. The point is well made. I was after the ideal one lens solution but that clearly does not exist, forgetting the point of DSLRs. I'm going for the 70-300L. Once familiar with this two lenses combo I'll look...

Looking for the elusive all purpose lens. Short list as above. Mostly outdoors use (people, landscapes, holidays, etc) I've read the threads and image quality seems very comparable. I should not say this but budget important but not main decision factor. Which ones would you recommend? Many thanks

Yes. The 7D is a fantastic camera. I've had mine for a year now. I bought it six months before a major holiday to learn and practice. I am glad I did as the learning curve was steep. But results are fantastic. Stick with it

Agree with the 7D option. I was in a similar situation, tried a few options and really pleased I went 7D. Nikon..? Don't do it..! ;-)

I have the 50-500 OS and it is great. (on a 7D). I used it on a safari and was really surprised at the quality of the shots. Even in low light (leopard up a tree in evening light) shots were good with a high ISO. I am a newbie and even I managed good shots... And the OS works well enabling...

Anyone with experience of the 307? I have the same problem and I believe from the literature that this kit would fit comfortably...
