    Cats missing

Its an awful feeling, ours has done it twice. First time found her in an empty house for sale down the road, she must have sneaked it when the door was open when the vendors visited, and got locked in! Very very lucky I noticed her in the window. Second time she was stuck up a tree after a...

How long do you spend editing your images?

I voted over an hour, because if I'm doing a portrait, I can spend hours on the skin. Some pictures though just need a quick 2 minutes to fix levels/curves. Depends on the subject of the picture. Personally I find photoshopping as much if not more fun than the actual taking of the picture.

Please share some of your horse shots

Thank you. Exif is Shutter priority, 1/250 sec, f/4, ISO 400. Taken with a Sony A100, Sigma 70-300 APO DG. Then lots and lots and lots of dodge and burn, the original wasn't great, but it was taken specifically for me to try and do this in photoshop. I have a before and after comparison if you...

    saying goodbye is not easy

No, it is never easy! Im so sorry! When I lost my dog recently, I was speaking to someone about why they don't live as long as us, and its not fair, they said "Think of how hard it is to loose them after 10 years, then think how hard it would be to loose them after 70 years" And a poem that...

    Photoshop Tutorials

This site has a good section for the basics http://psd.tutsplus.com/tag/basix/ and then some more complicated stuff too. Their tutorials are very well written and illustrated. If you have the time to search around the web for tutorials, you don't really need to spend that £44.

My first effort at portrait porcessing

Now THAT is gorgeous! In the colour version the pink reflection on her chin was really drawing my eye away from hers. The sepia one however has no distractions, her eyes are really captivating in that one. Nicely done.

    To any Horse owners.....

I put my water buckets on an old fashioned wooden sledge that I dug out of the loft, you know the ones with the metal rails? Dragged them across the yard, easy peasy, although they occasionally built up so much speed they slid right past me and into a wall lol

    To any Horse owners.....

Yes I think there may be some hoarding going on, has been for the past few years. Nobody seems to have any small bales until after christmas, then all of a sudden there is loads as everyone seems to clear out their barns! And yes I soak my hay, hes laminitic also so every little helps! Was...

    To any Horse owners.....

We are paying £4 - £5 a bale at the moment here in Manchester. Have previously been getting rebaled stuff from last years round bales at £3.50, but very dusty and poor quality. Horse now diagnosed with COPD so dusty hay is a no no!

    Your Favourite Quote

My favourite, just meant a lot to me when I read it: "What's in the way... IS the way!"
