Yes all patterns are gone under artificial light and that's probably why I had not noticed it before, I have only used the flash at night and thought I would check my flash to help you decide if there was a fault or not, anomallys like this can be worrying when you don't have another unit to...
Hi John, I bought the yongnuo 560 mk 3 last week and just had a look, mine has the same patterns never noticed untill I had a look .
If you gently press the clear screen the pattens change so it's my belief that it's stress from the flash housing pressing on the lcd screen and probably will be...
if you use the fuji for A focal on the telescope keep it,i have found it to be better on the moon and planets, but my canon dslr best for deep sky.
for macro you will not beat a dedicated macro lens.
enjoy your new camera whatever make you buy.
Thanks for the comments and advice,it looks like the meter will do what i want it to.
i want control over dof rather than the meter telling me to stick to F8 and an advised shutter speed.
Hi, I have been thinking about getting a light meter for setting up flash heads.
But i am having trouble working out if I can say decide to use 1/200 shutter and say f 5 aperture then adjust the power of the lights untill the meter gives that reading.
or will the meter keep adjusting the f...
Thanks for that chris.
tried all kinds of apertures from 2.8 to 22 and beyond.
cleaned contacts.
it seemed to be intermitent at first till I realised that when I focus close in ie at or around minimum focus distance then the shutter would stay closed but the mirror would return back down only...
Hi,the shutter keeps sticking closed on my lens.
it only happens when it is focused to the macro end ie 1.1 magnification.
so when the barrel is close to fully extended I take a picture then the viewfinder goes dark and looking down the lens the shutter can be seen closed.
it can be freed off...
Thanks for info,I bought the canon and have found the benifit of using this flash outdoors for macro insect work.
faster shutter speeds and greater depth of field before the bee ect flys off is resulting in sharper pics.
this flash has more power than i first thought it would.
Hi all, looking to buy my first flashgun to go with my canon 400d and am undecided whether to go for the canon or the sigma.
The sigma is cheaper and more powerful than the canon but the canon should talk to the camera with fewer faults.
Anyone have the sigma and could help me out with their...
i tried getting a discount with three sales staff and they would not budge.
wanted a 400d with kit lens and a sigma 70-300 lens.
said head office would not let them discount because it's all done on computer and no way to get round it.
feel cheated now!!!
