    Nikon D7xxx owners thread

I am looking at purchasing one of these prime lenses for the D7000 but would appreciate some feedback on which one would be the better option and why.

    bloody camera shop sales assistants

This post should have been started after the outcome, would have been so much more of a compliment rather than an unfounded insult and all the needless comments about the shop assistant and the "law". No I am not a shop assistant but do insist on being treated fairly, I fear the shop assistant...

    Rechargable batteries for flash

What he said. I use these batteries in my model planes to power the servos/receiver and in my transmitter. They hold their charge really well. Only other battery would be the 123 cells, they charge really FAST!! and are the safer alternative to lithium polymer cells. Higher mah = better power...

    D7000

I now have the D7000 and can only compare it with the D50 as that is the only other dslr I have had. After charging the battery I was experimenting round the house as it was raining outside. I had a look at the manual (326 pages)!! Simple point and shoot results, (photographed our cat) the...

GOT MY HANDS ON A BUZZARD !!

Evolution is the answer. As a youngster i didn't see many animals/birds lying by the roadside. Now it is a common occurrence to see foxes, badgers, deer and so many different species of bird lying on/by the road. The number of vehicles on the road now make it hazardous for us to cross the road...

How to give crit and how to take crit

I see no reason to "slate anyone" but on forums it is easy to belittle someone (not only on this forum). You don't have to meet the "victim" of your crit, so the way in which a comment/reply is laid out matters, text is a cold and flat, not like a conversation in the shop/pub wherever. And lets...

Building a quick photo workstation? (PC)

And perhaps a W/D velociraptor drive rather than raid 0, but they do cost a bit more than a 7200 rpm drive. (raptor spins at 10000 rpm)

You have 1000 pounds to spend on a computer...

CleanMyMac is what I use to uninstall apps and it does a lot more besides. I also use http://www.coriolis-systems.com/iDefrag.php , and yes I did have to purchase them but it was what I thought to be a decent price.
