    Olympus OM-D E-M5, E-M1, E-M10 - Mk1, Mk2 & Mk3 Owners Thread

You could 'splash out' on the new Oly 12-40 f2.8. Early reports seem extremely favourable.

    tokina

I have the old version of that, it is excellent - I hired the Nikon 12-24 to compare, but for my uses I couldn't justify the slight increase in quality for the large difference in price.

    Why throw away the Box!!

I keep the boxes (in the loft) for everything while they are under warranty, the trouble is I never get around to throwing them out! I sold off loads of my old well used and abused Nikon film cameras and lenses recently, many for 'spares or repair' but I still had all their original boxes...

ISS 2 passes tonight LINK ADDED

There are some good passes (in theory) over the next five nights.

ISS 2 passes tonight LINK ADDED

There was a fantastic pass last night with clear skies (not a helpful statement at this stage!) but is it possible to track it with bins whilst holding them steady enough?

    The madness of Ebay

I stopped using eBay for selling about 2 or 3 years ago when their fees and PayPal started to absorb too much of the selling price. But before that I sold most of my very heavily used and distressed film camera bodies, and lenses (some lenses with mould!) on eBay. I stated that these were...

    Colour or B&W

After years and years of really enjoying B&W photography (I've still got about 3 enlargers in the loft which I will never use again!) I now prefer to look for subjects that have an interesting aspect of colour in them.

Henri Cartier-Bresson: Unseen work at London exhibition

I went to see CARTIER-BRESSON: A QUESTION OF COLOUR on the last day. I thought there was some wonderful photography displayed (not very well hung - too many reflections and shadows). They had sold out of catalogues; I don't suppose that anybody here wants to sell me their copy?

what do you CANON or NIKON or.....

It's not so much the absolute quality of the equipment that the pro's look at but also the back-up, service and ease of hiring etc. and there's no doubt that N. & C. provide that professional requirement better than other brands.

    Extended Warranties

I don't know what they are like if you have to claim but have you thought of a 3 year extention to your original warranty? http://www.calumetphoto.co.uk/eng/product/mack_three_year_extended_warranty_for_digital_cameras_valued_between_1_000_and_2_400_vat/wa1015 Calumet gave me mine free (many...

    New York trip

I would look at the focal length EXIF data from a large random sample of your shots, see what you use most and take the lenses that cover the majority. It's your style of photography that you shoot, and that probably won't change on any particular trip. When I went to NY with my DSLR I just...
