Thanks guys, I've just bought a Giottos rocket blower on Amazon (a lot more affordable than the arctic butterfly). If this fails to do the job, what would the next step be - take it into a shop for a clean? Or is this something I can learn to do myself without huge expense?

Thanks guys, I've also just noticed that I can actually see about 3 small spots when I look through the viewfinder - is that normal for a dirty sensor, or is that a dirty lens as well? I'm normally so careful with replacing lens caps not handling lenses too much etc, I have no idea how it got...

Thanks guys, I'll definitely make sure I'm 100% happy with what's on offer before bidding :) I've seen a lot of sellers mention that their lenses have no mould - is this a relatively common problem found with secondhand lenses? More importantly, is it fixable?

I'm looking for some 'new' old lenses and was wondering whether you'd consider Ebay to generally be a good source? With secondhand lenses, are there any pitfalls to watch out for or specific questions I should ask sellers prior to bidding?

Is converting to b&w just a case of opening the image in Photoshop and selecting to option to convert to greyscale? Or is there more to it?

Yeah I've been looking at eBay recently and have seen some ones Manfrotto and Giottos (which seem to be quite expensive usually) sometimes going secondhand for around that region, but there are so many different models of each that I'm just worried I'll end up with the wrong thing entirely! :)

Cheap as possible without compromising quality. Ideally as close to £50 as possible, though I'm aware I might be asking for too much there!
