Hi All I'm looking to upgrade from a Canon 6D to and R6 mkii and have a question about battery compability. I've have a couple of hl-e6n batteries and wondering if they would work in the R6 mkii? Has any tried this? If they do work I'm assuming the charging over USB won't work.

It's totally dependent on the weather. Spoke to a local photographer last time I as in Snowdonia(end Jan 18) and he was advising that the snow was falling and disappearing the next day. :-( Anyway I'm 4 days in Snowdonia first week of Jan, so fingers crossed.

Ordered the Photographing Dorset book by Mark Bauer from WHSmith's yesterday to pick up in store on the weekend. The book hold's it's prive, even for 2nd hand copies. Smith's was the cheapest place I found, as delivery costs on Amazon made it more expensive. Thanks once again for the tips.

John. There's some good locations listed.The waterfalls down stream of Venford Reservoir look very interesting, as do Cornwood Maidens and a few of the Tors! They've been added to my location guide.
