The links you've put up don't seem to be working. But I believe the RF-602's will fire the flashguns with no problems.....I think with the RF-602 there is a receiver and a transmitter, so you have to make sure the receiver is on the flash.

Oh really? I've not had to send a camera off for repair before, so don't know. I just assumed (I know you shouldn't assume anything) that it would come back with some sort of report to say what they've done with it.

No, they didn't say anything on the phone about it, the e-mail said that the camera has been repaired though. I'm assuming there will be some sort of report from Canon to say what the problem was though - i'll update this thread with all the details as it might come in handy for someone else...

Absolutely, I can understand why people would buy an import, but i'd rather pay extra for complete piece of mind - but that's just me.

Yes i've tried 2 other memory cards and the same thing happened. I've also tried my other lenses as well, just to be sure that it's not the lens causing a problem. Funny thing is now it seems to be working ok again - but i'm still going to give them a call on Monday morning.
