550d good entry camera for photography and filmmaking?

One of the things that caused frustration with 7D/550D film makers was auto gain control on the sound. the 60D gives the option to turn it off etc, which might be useful if your using external mics etc, depends how far you want to take it really :) Keep in mind with canon DSLR video there...

Who uses an iPad for their PHOTOGRAPHY BUSINESS?

yeah, i think partly android isn't geared up for the higher res of the 10", the 7" one uses a standard phone res, but I'm managing my expecations as it's less than half the price of the galaxy tab etc

Who uses an iPad for their PHOTOGRAPHY BUSINESS?

Well it is an ipod with a big screen :) Purchasing one for my father for xmas. Going to try an archos 70 myself, half the price of an ipad so not expecting huge things but I'm hoping the fact it can act as a usb host means I can take it on holiday and move stuff around from cf cards onto...

    Portable storage

Is it a good idea storing all your data on a single HD on a trip? If it were me I'd need dual HD for backup that being the case cf cards still make a lot of sense cost wise, you spread your pics over lots of different cards guess it depends how many GB u need, extreme III are £4/GB approx...

    Canon G11...

well the first line up on the graph interpolates to £368, so price has been lower than that pretty much since launch apart from a few weeks of spikes. BTW I purchased the G9 a few weeks after Launch for £311 two years ago from amazon (rrp was £450 I think), keep a close eye on them as they get...

    Canon G11...

Looking at camerapricebuster the G10 dropped to £350 within weeks of launch for uk stock. Basically if you're willing to loose £200/month on the G11 buy it now, or wait a few weeks and watch the price crash to sub £400

    7D price

Afaik you don't get an EU warranty so you'll need to send it back to the USA etc. Lenses are different, they come with worldwide warranty
