Canon 300mm f/4 prime lens for nature work

I bought a Canon 300mm f/4 IS today - for me the ability to focus down to 1.5m is going to be useful for 'macro' and I already have the 1.4x TC The IS is a useful addition but if I had been after a lens that would be used mainly for bird photography I think I would probably have gone for the...

Macro Lens for Canon 7d mkii

I have the Sigma 150mm f/2.8 (non OS) - great quality, useful extra reach - particularly good for dragonflies. Downside is that it's just a bit on the heavy side.

    The Official Fuji X10/X20/X30/XF1/XQ1 Thread

I've been following this thread for a few weeks and had just about decided to take the plunge when Fuji announced they would be making a 'definitive statement'. So then it was back to sitting on the fence waiting for 'the announcement' . . . Now that it's clear a free sensor...

Any Netflix users on here ?

My broadband speed is usually around 0.9MBps and BBC iPlayer generally stops and starts. I was very surprised to find that Netflix streamed with no problems at all - even with other people in the house using the bandwidth. The problem for me is that there is not a big enough selection of films...

    Attention King's Lynn photographers!

I think I must have been behind you and to your left. Started off nearer to Saddlebow and started walking to look for a spot. Crossed the 'new' footbridge and ended up standing in the landscaped area adjacent to the link road. I had a monopod - almost everyone had a camera so we all looked...

I'll set my alarm and see if I can actually get out of bed :) If Campbells Meadow is closed I wonder where the best viewpoint would be ?

New DVD loan thread, not just Studio/Lighting also General Photographic Titles too!

The cost of RMSD a couple of days ago was £9.05 with a quoted value of £350 (although I think they were actually covered for £500) I think at <£1 per DVD this was well worthwhile. The cost could be reduced by sending only the backup copies in a padded envelope, but I don't know if there would...
