    Yes, definitely sales talk. If you prefer to go the Canon route, the 450D is a very good camera to start with if you don't need video.

    Do you need the extra 100mm? I never had the Tamron 18-200mm but I had the Sigma one. Unless you have a need for that extra 100mm else I see no improvement in terms of IQ.

    I can live with 15ft, I haven't done any work that need to go beyond that range. I'm wondering about the flash, not so much the trigger.
