Thanks Tim - that's a great photo to display both the benefits and problems of a circular polariser. Is Lightroom any good at dealing with something like this (whilst I acknowledge it is better to get it right "in camera", which is always the plan, I can't always guarantee this...).

I've only just got my 550d so haven't had a chance to play with the video bit, but bear in mind that there is (apparently) a 10 minute max time for videos - don't know if this will have an influence on your intended use.

Scott those are some amazing images. Being a noob, this is probably a stupid question, but how did you capture that 3rd one? It looks like it was dark out and you used a flash, but given the subject matter, this seems unlikely (also the lighting doesn't look quite right for a flash).
