Hi all been away for a while because i sold all my equipment, how ever i am looking to get back into it, previously i had a 50d so my question is, whats available in start up kit form? would consider canon or nikon dont want to spend loads as my main use would be shots at car shows, so advise on...

fairplay to the guy, hes taken some very good pictures as a hobby whilst being made redundent from his job he decided to have ago at making money out of something he loves doing! what is so wrong with that? sounds to me like certain people are a little green of envy!

thanks thats a great start as i have noticed a lot of noice even at iso 800 i thought it was me but now i know i can get away with blaming my tools :lol: what about picture style settings i.e portrait mode ect is it worth changing the settings or are they pretty much spot on?

i have a 50d and have'nt really bothered to change any of the in camera settings and was wondering if there was anything worth changing that would/could inprove my shots. in short do you guys change the settings if so what changes do you make?

you basically get the disks with no packaging mine works fine you should get both versions as everything is heading towards 64 bit.

its a shame im so far away i would have been interested in this :(

whats the best metering mode to use for taking portraits. im asuming to get the eyes sharp spot metering would be the anwser but not 100% sure :shrug:

i suppose thats one way of looking at it but what does it actually cost them to download a piece of software? where as i could understand having to pay for new set of keys!

my point being that i/we spend hundreds if not thousands on thier cameras and they dont provide a free download to their customers, all they have to do is ask for a serial number to stop unwanted downloadswhichis why i refuse to pay the £16 they want for it on disk. i would rather go with out...

thanks no didnt get the software with the camera unfortunatly, i found the lists of code so to speek and tried but failed think it may be because im running windows 7. never mind i shall continue to use photo shop thanks for your help guys

thanks but they are all updates too, you would think canon would provide full downloads for their software i have looked everywhere :bang:

hi can anyone point me in the direction of downloading the full software that comes with eos 50d, ive had a look on the canon site but all i can seem to find are updaters that require the original software to be installed which i do not have as i inherited the camera with no software
