Does your house insurance cover definitely include cover abroad? I am looking for cover abroad and can't find any travel insurance that will cover more than £500 for a single item.

The autofocus has stopped working on my Canon 5D with both 24-70 and 70-200 USM f2.8 lenses. Before I contemplate sending off for a no doubt expensive repair is there anything I should check or anything I can do to try to fix it? As it’s not working on either lens is fault likely to be on...
