    Recommend me a strap

I'm a bit fed up of the standard strap that came with my 80d, I don't particularly like wearing it around my neck in a normal tourist style, especially when it bounces everywhere when you walk. Also when I have my 100-400 lens on, the strap doesn't really work as the camera is so unbalanced. So...

    Bit smashed up

Sorry to hear about the accident, the roads are just so damn dangerous. I don't think you've had the right legal advice there. We lost my sister in November in a car accident and my brother in law is now pursuing a PI claim, the legal cover she had is paying for the claim, we managed to...

    Airline travel

A guy I follow on Facebook had this happen to his race crash helmet when it was in his hold luggage, so I certainly wouldn't go putting a lens in there.

Chest mount camera - GoPro type

What's your budget? There's a million different cameras that you could class as a go pro type, at the top of the price range are the genuine go pros, but some of the Chinese copies like the Sjcam aren't bad for the money.

    Bean bag help!

I got one of these ones to take on my safari, was really good, although it is pretty big! took up a lot of room in my suit case. The design meant it sat on the lip of the roof panel nicely and stopped it falling off. I used it with an 80d and a 100-400.

    Safari equipment advice

I went on a Safari on September to Tanzania and asked pretty much the same questions as you before I went. Bean bag was a must, especially for the type of vehicle we were in where theres a bit hatch in the roof you stand up through. Buy yourself a couple of cheap pillow cases or similar, take...

    Canon EOS 80d Owners Thread

I've recently got back from a safari where I took my 80d and Mk1 100-400, although I got some amazing shots I did have some focusing issues with the 100-400 when it's at about 200mm focal length. For some reason the focusing was slow and would hesitate back and forth until after 20 seconds or so...

Must haves to take on a Safari?

Thanks for the replies guys, I do have a lightweight travel tripod that converts to a mono pod too, so will add that in. I'll also balance the photography and keeping the wife happy, don't worry :) I'm ok with the carry on allowance have checked that already, and we don't have any light...

Must haves to take on a Safari?

Evening all, Next Saturday we're going on a safari in Tanzania for our honeymoon, I plan to get some pics where I'm there so think I have all the gear (but no idea). I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything that you might think essential. So I'm taking: Canon 80d Mk1 100 - 400 L...

    Tripod, Monopod or both?

I've recently bought a very lightweight travelling tripod and it has a leg that you can remove and turn into a monopod. For what it cost I must say it's a really impressive tripod, has a fluid filled head too and an angle read out for when you're doing panoramics.

    A new backpack?

I've spent a long time looking at back packs recently but with a specific requirement. I'm going on Safari and want the ability to carry two bodies, one with a 100-400 mounted, the other with an 18-200 mounted, both need to be quick access as I want to keep them in the bag when not shooting. I...
