Sorry guys- I'm struggling for time at the moment- pretty much flat out and missing world cup as well- not that I'm that into football- Scottish football is so dire it switches you off the sport lol. Anyway, might be another 2-3wks before I'm back to some kind of normal schedule but can't...
lol, sorry Graham- was hoping to get some time later as had in my head evening judging. been a busy week- and it's not finished yet:(.
At least it's sunny for a change:)
Thanks for the feedback Graham- I think I may have altered the perspective a bit as a well. I did go a bit OTT on the vignette:D.
Well done Rhodese:clap:
Jim- pocket;)
First thoughts were to empty the bottle for some realism:D
My second thought was that it didn't seem like there was much to do but there was actually quite a few imperfections in the glass/ surface which showed up under closer inspection.

You need to get this UV Protection nonsense out of your head- first minute relevant to you- :p
If you're using a CPL or an ND filter already, you don't need to degrade image quality any more by sticking a UV filter either before or after them. Just leave it alone:D
Thanks Rhodese- it's fair to say my patience was straying so not wanting to let the side down with a non-appearance- I did some stuff:D
Well done Graham:clap:
This didn't turn out well for me- partly because it's not something I do, which is fine and good to try something new but it just wasn't working out so the ability to pay a lot of attention to cloning etc did dwindle quite quickly:oops: :$

400X means 400X faster than the first CD players which were 150kb/s and is the read speed. Pretty meaningless today given how many of these CD players are probably still going and who can remember anything about them. Used to just be for CF but marketing people think it looks great so you find...
I find it hard to believe Nikon has a)made an enthusaist camera with a buffer issue quicker than their current flagship and b) made these statements at all and think the sites are factually incorrect given Nikon's D4 can only write to XQD at 92MB/s and the D800 at 69MB/s
Cool, liking the concept. I've been there too- they certainly don't win any prizes for quick construction- 2026 or thereabouts I think it will be finished
Aye, agree with gramps- I condensed mine a bit so it relies on people knowing what I meant.
I'd say subjects up to 25m at f4 will give you sharp images at any focal length. Beyond that they start to look soft/hazy at f4 and get progressively worse the further away the subject is at any focal...
Personally I'm not a fan of the Nikon 200-400 and I was disappointed when they released the mkII with no real world image quality improvements focusing instead on nano coating etc etc- at the end of the day it's sharp images at 400mm that count and it struggles to deliver that consistently- at...
Thanks David- some good points to dwell on as always:). I do find hair a double edged sword- it can be nice to tidy stray hairs but does often look a bit unnatural as though the head has been pasted in. Is it just a case of being much more meticulous or am I using the wrong tool or are they best...
