    RIP Matt Hancox (TP member)

This is really sad news. I don't frequent TP much nowadays but to find out that one of the stalwarts has sadly passed is a real shock. I was lucky enough to spend time in his company a number of years ago and have to say that he was a much talented photographer and all round good guy.

Help - Keeping camera level whilst shooting panoramas

I'm a dedicated geared head shooter but my wife much prefers ball heads. We went to the recent NEC Photo Show wanting to get our hands on a Uniqball to see what they are like having heard some good reports. I have to say that they seem very well engineered and certainly worth the investment...

Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year (SLPOTY) results are out

As hoped my copy arrived this morning and I have to say I very much agree with what you've said Andy. Quality images and printing. It's nice to see my image in there amongst some stunning images. Can't wait to get up to Scotland again.

Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year (SLPOTY) results are out

Sounds good Andy. I've only just read on Twitter about 20 minutes that someone had received their book. Mine didn't arrive this morning so I'll need to keep an eye out for the postman tomorrow.

Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year (SLPOTY) results are out

Many thanks for the kind words Steve. Some of the framing was due in part to the fact I had my springer in tow so I wasn't able to get right up to the edge in case she knocked over the tripod. We returned to the same spot a couple of weeks ago for the winter version (minus the dogs) ;)

Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year (SLPOTY) results are out

I was really pleased to get a commended in the Four Seasons (Summer) category with my image of Buachaille Etive Mor. I was quite surprised given that it was taken from the "classic" viewpoint but went ahead and entered it anyway. I have to say that there are some stunning images in the winners...

    Photography Show 2017

Tim, It gives you £3 entry per person for daily tickets. I think you may find better bargains elsewhere on the internet for £3 off a hotel room though LOL. Also it's worth doing a search from previous year's threads on TP for alternatives to the £12 parking fee at the NEC.

    Photography Show 2017

@Geoff Moore - Yes they are - Just google "photography show 2017 discount code" and you'll see a few different ones. For example Nikon have "NIKTPS17". They usually seem to end "17" but if you see one for a previous year you could always try changing 15 or 16 to 17

    Photography Show 2017

Does anyone know of any discount codes please? I've seen/used them in the past but not noticed anything this year. Edit ............. Ignore me. I've found a few different ones after a quick google or even opening up a photo mag. Brings it down by £3. (y)

    Sunday Telegraph Front Cover Photo

I take it all back then Tony. Well found. It was the fall off of the shadows behind them and lack of shadow right under the shoes that made me suspicious. At least they didn't have 6 fingers though LOL

    Sunday Telegraph Front Cover Photo

We all know lots of photo editing goes on in the press but to put such an obvious cut and paste job as the main picture on the front cover of today's Sunday Telegraph is diabolical. I was able to spot it on the BBC website's papers section and easily found the what is close to the original with...
