The noise levels on that shot you just posted Martyn are ok could cope with that

As Martyn has just said the D300 just seems better laid out and more sturdy

So would you say the noise levels are higher above ISO 800 than my D90

Thanks for that i am replacing my D90 but wanted something a lot more robust to back up my roll film camera which i still use loads

Some more details about me just for you i mainly work doing landscapes portraits and of coarse the odd wedding not my favourite thing to shoot though but I can turn my hand to most shoots. I use mainly Nikon equipment but also still shoot 120 roll film on my Bronica aswell I know before you say...
