I've been thinking of treating myself to something and was tempted by the 24.. but I already have the CZ 24-70 and the first review I read was a bit lukewarm.

The cq series have a high rate of motherboard failure, almost as high as the HP dv series which is saying something.. at work we've a large box full of these motherboards from repairs we've done.
The problem with repairing cq laptops is that the new motherboards that HP supply for this series...
If you don't know what that is you're going to struggle getting a site set up!
Unless you want to go through a lengthy learning process it might be best to either buy a template (there are lots of good ones and not expensive) or get a professional site builder to do the job for you.
err... I think you might regret that purchase too, did you see the test shots from that lens in the Sony Alpha thread recently?

The uploads of the wedding couple show the kind of problems I had with this lens. Like I said, I was using film so there was no chance of trying to patch things up with sharpening etc.
To be any use the lens has to project a sharp image onto the film/ sensor and this one obviously doesn't do that.
Have you ever used a prime lens? The first time I did I was gobsmacked how much sharper it was to the Sigma zoom I'd been using up to that point. I hadn't realised what i was missing until than!
