ok thanks all f you for your responces yes the budget goes upto about 250 pounds i think i have alot of research to do still im so thick when it comes to cameras i would like one that takes fast photo's one after the other if my budget is to allow

we keep a lot of reptile both lizards and snakes and would love to be able to pick up scale detail on both. so would i need macro to do this ? we know sod all about camera's to be honest
