I use both the x100s and the XE-1. The x100 is brill but the menu system and focus speed leaves a bit to be desired. If you can only afford one go XE-1 with the newer software vs the older x100.

That is the sad thing there isn't a good way to tell what is stolen and what's not. But you don't want to be the guy accused of stealing it or losing it to the police impound.... If its too good to be true it is!!
I have found the x100s case by fuji to be the best as you can use it as a half case as well as full protection. The new model also has a flap for battery/SD card access. But if you do use adapters or hoods I haven't really found many cases that fit with them attached.
