    Wedding Tog recommendations (York)

Hi all, Looking to get married in York late next year. I'm from Down South so dont really know who is about up there. Any recommendations? Thanks!

You're not allowed to take photos of me!!

I think if it hadnt been preceeded by an incident, they probably wouldnt mind so much. May query you, may just be assh**es who will pick a fight over anything. If they are already riled up they are unlikely to calm down and think "Yeah, this is perfectly legal. i'll just get on with life" Im not...

    ND Filters

alternatively you could buy the biggest filter (77mm) and a step down ring, maybe two if they dont make a 77 - 58

    Nikon D700

I'd echo what TR4x4 said. I did it the wrong way round, got a d700 then FX lenses, i'd suggest getting FX lenses (24-70, 70-200, 50 or 85) first. They'll still be fantastic lenses on the D300 and then up to the D700. Is the lack of ISO performance because you havent got f2.8/f1.8 lenses?

    old lens service/clean

Any ideas where it can get an old sigma serviced? Think it just needs a clean, when I look through it one of the internal elements looks slightly frosted. Could be mould? It's a sigma 180mm apo macro. Thanks!

    Little mini studio set up!

seems you've got some room, so maybe move yourself further away from the backdrop? that should make it darker (less light from the flash) and more out of focus. using hoodman loupe as viewfinder

The reason I ask is because I always got better results when doing macro with live view, but didn't find it much easier for anything else.

    Nikon FX Wideangle

Yeah i've seen thh 20mm and 20-35mm from nikon. I didnt know about the 18-35D so i'll look into that. I quite like the idea of the prime for the size/weight factor more than anything. With the 24-70 and 70-200 (which im tempted to leave behind) i'll just end up carrying too much.

    Nikon FX Wideangle

Afternoon all. I'm off to California shortly and will be taking my d700 with me. I'll be taking my 24-70 and 70-200, but fancy a wideangle aswell. Budget wise im looking at around 300, so obviously the pro level nikon wideangles are out. Has anyone used the Tokina 17-35 or 16-28? any...

photography laws drastically differ in the UK compared to France

I'd suggest you offer your views on the laws and differences, because of course you've researched them already and can offer points for people to discuss. I'm sure your not trying to get us to do your homework for you...
