Hi,
Thanks for the tips.
Unfortunately for me I'm working Friday and will be flying up to Glasgow Friday night.
So, it's just the Saturday and Sunday for me I'm afraid :(
Thank-you both for all the info.
I'm going to print a map of the circuit off and mark all those spots on it so I have a plan of where to be on each day :)
Roll on August ;)
Got my flights, hotel and tickets for the BTCC weekend at Knockhill in August.
Having never been before any advice on best spots on the circuit for qualifying and race day?
Biggest lens I have is the Canon 70-200 F2.8 mk2 with both the 1.4 and 2.0 teleconvertors.
Will that afford me enough...
Looking at going to the Blancpain GT at Brands Hatch in May.
Will be a change from the BTCC .
Anyone else been before and what are your experiences of it and the support races ?
I would have thought you would lose autofocus with the converter on that lens.
I'm sure someone will come along and confirm whether that is the case or not.
That may be an issue for you.
I have the 1.4 and use it on the 70-200 F2.8 mk3 and get very good results with only a small drop in image...
Hi Mark,
Having seen your 'movement' shots over on the Oc ( that will confuse peeps on here! ) thought I'd come and check the rest of your thread out :-)
Hi,
Great track Spa.
Can't wait to go back again myself.
Last time I went was for sat qualifying and sun race.
Drive down to the channel tunnel, off at Calais then straight to Spa.
You end up parking in various Farmers fields that are opened up for parking and then there is a bus shuttle service...
It does and I'm loving mine!
Shall be at Brands Hatch on the 21st for the Btcc final and shall post up some pictures using mine.
It makes a great Lens for Brands hatch and takes a tele convertor well.
I would have thought if you're shooting sport and want a zoom lens then the 7d would be the best choice due to the high fps and the crop factor.
But then again, full frame and wifi does sound interesting, decisions, decisions!
Just done the firmware update on mine, took about 3 minutes to install:)
Will be using the camera in anger on Sunday at the Btcc race meet Snetterton.
Will see what differences if any the update has made and report back:thumbs:
Regards,
Jeff.
I would tend to agree but after freezing at Brands for the Dtm I fancy a bit of current bun for my boat race;)
Filter!!! On the front of my lens, Sigma 120-300mm 2.8 takes a rather big filter on the front. It has a uv filter and that's all it's getting:D
