It depends who is making the assertion that a photographer is good and by what standard they are judging I think. Here I'm average at best, on another (non photography related) forum I'm lauded for my 'stunning' images.

I've had good lighting results just laying the book flat on the floor by a full length window (french window). Providing the sun isn't shining directly through it and no nasty shadows it works fine. No colour correction required either.

[Press the PRTSCRN button (without CTRL/ALT), click START, type mspaint and press enter, then press CTRL/V, accept the message asking if you want to increase the canvas size. Edit and save as required format. Job done.
