Thanks for your help. Below is a picture I took whilst experimenting with exposure. The baby vest on the chair is in fact white with brown stripes. I appreciate this picture was taken in sunshine so the brightness is perhaps exagerrated but hopefully it shows the problem I am having. Thanks
