I've been looking into a similar conundrum as going to upgrade my camera soon and found the tamron17-50f2.8 which has some really good reviews and is about£300-350 I think Clearly if u have the money the 17-55 will b better

Also good if you are doing panoramic shots, note you should do this on aperture priority so the dof is consistent across the shot I think

Ok the 75-300 is not worth it, that's good to know those who said nikon, I don't really know anything about nikons any suggestions on the models I should consider??
