Looks like movement blur to me was is windy at that length of exposure could have been move don't need much movement But like mark says you want to be using iso 100-200 IMO

I am very new to editing just bought elements 10 it's really Good can pretty much do any thing on to and it's got a guided Section that is very good shows you how to do things step By step in a really easy and understandably way. Not silly money to buy too

You could try sigma 610 flash from wex great flash ttl mode And manual very powerful flash and not a bad price at £129 For canon fit and it tilts and swivels just got it as my first Flash really easy to use too

Only just got the tamron 17-50 f2.8 really really good so far the best lens for the price In my opinion don't think you can get another lens 2.8 all the way though zoom range For that sort of money. The few shots I have taken so far have all been keepers so much Better than kit lens

I have used disposable ones before for diving and wakeboarding You can pick them up for under a tenner and got some surprisingly good Shots from them bought a couple then if drop or broke when Fell off wasn't to bothered apart from the lost pics
