I have a Sigma 70-300mm D 1:4-5.6 APO DG and it is a great lens for not much wonger!

It's probably my favourite lens, great price as well!

D300, no contest.

recently fitted the Tamron 17-50 F/2.8 on my D300 in place of the Nikon kit lens. Great lens, superb results and not broken the bank.

I have the 10-20 on my D300 most of the time, fantastic lens.

I pay to have my pic's pro framed and they do look much better than when i stick them in a of the shelf number. Just seems like a lot of messing around doing your own unless it's your business. Just a note!

I spend for ever asking mostly on this forum and reading lots of reviews. This has always ended well for me.

By more powerful i mean a faster lens, i think it's between the Tamron 17-50 or the Sigma 24-70. Thanks for all your help.

Having recently purchased a D300 i am looking to replace my 18-55 kit lens for something more powerful. The lenses I currently have are, Sigma 150mm, Sigma 70-300mm and Sigma 10-20mm. Does anybody have suggestions for a walk about lens to replace my kit lens, price up to £500. Cheers.:help:
