From what I've read the Tamron non vc is meant to be the best out of the 17-50 2.8 range (except for the nikon version of course).

How fast is the focussing motor when shooting low light though? ISO shouldn't be a problem when I upgrade to better camera. Do you have any concert shots with this lens? Thanks.

Thanks for your post. Do you think I should go for the tamron non-vc? Apparently the non-vc is better than the VC version. Not even sure VC will help in concerts when I'm trying to keep shutter speed relatively fast? I'd go with the nikon but at around double the price just cannot afford it.

Flash restricted but they will generally let you take photos. They can't exactly stop so many people with their p&s so can't see them banning photos all together. Probably tougher on filming though.

Not a fan of United but would much prefer them to win than Barcelona. Watched Barca's recent few matches and I didn't think much to be honest! Also prefer an english club to be best in Europe, ha :-P

I personally prefer what you have done here. Really think the stray hairs distract myself when looking at the photo. Much neater with what you have done here. :)
