This is now cheesing me off quite a lot.
I emailed the guy who initially replied to my first request to see if arca swiss were still checking the ballheads, and they said they're based in the shop in Germany, but they'll forward my email to the support team and ask them to deal with it "as...
Update, I am still waiting to hear back from them!!!
I initially wrote to them before I posted this thread, and I emailed them again on the 15th Jan.
Not great customer support so far!!
According to the steps on the Wimberley website, it needed to be checked by ARCA-SWISS.
You've raised an interesting point regarding reassembling with new parts, although I'll be asking them exactly what they've done and replaced as I can't see there being much to replace?!!
I also have to...
A few weeks back I was looking into buying a gimbal head, and whilst browsing Wimberleys website came across a warning about possible 'slipping' in some of the earlier Z1 ballheads.
As mine could have been one of the ones affected, I contacted ARCA SWISS , was told that they are still receiving...
I'm back again!
Took delivery today of a lovely Canon R5 II with a 24-70 f2.8L IS.
also got an L plate and Gimbal head on order, think I'd better calm down!!!!
The correct name for the part I believe is a Tripod socket. It's been de-threaded when removing the L Plate from the camera.
Happened to my 5D4 about 4 years ago, canon fixed that one for me for £101.
I think I'll keep it as it is. It's been the best camera I've ever owned up to now (a brand new...
Fixation won't touch it...
Reason being, if anything gets damaged in the process, no parts are available!!
I expect Canon will say the same thing so might just have to get used to it!
Humbug!
Hi
I'd like to have my 1DX repaired (broken tripod mount screw thread)
Does anyone have any recommendations on places that might be able to fix this?
I'll be ringing Canon and Fixation even though their online forms state they no longer service the 1DX, as I believe the part is the same on the...
I bought one of these last week, biggest lens I own and boy is it big!
Not sure if I can hide this from the wife!!
It’s hardly stopped raining since and I want to take it out now!!
Also bought a wimberley foot, strap and lens coat. Oh, and a rain cover!
Been GAS free for nearly 8 years until last Saturday.
Just bought a used Canon EF300 2.8L IS II reduced by over £600 to £2100.
Couldn’t resist at that price, described as “excellent “ condition, but on arrival after giving it a very close inspection, it’s mint!!!
Sadly it hasn’t stopped raining...
As the title says, just got a new (second hand) 2020 imac with an internal HD of 500GB, so am looking for a new external SSD to store my pictures mainly.
Done a little bit of searching the web for advice, but as is usually the case, I'm now probably more confused than when I started!
The 2020...
